🎯 Clinical Judgment That Lasts
I don't just teach you how to answer questions—I teach you how to think like a nurse. That means strengthening your clinical judgment for the NCLEX and for real patient care.
Honest Guidance You Can Trust
If you're ready to test, I'll tell you. If I believe you need more preparation, I'll tell you that too. My goal isn't just to help you take the NCLEX—it's to help you pass it.
Support Beyond the Classroom
Whether you're preparing for the NCLEX or navigating your first year as a nurse, you don't have to figure everything out alone. You'll have encouragement, accountability, and practical guidance every step of the way.
🩺More Than 40 Years of Nursing Experience
I've been a nurse since 1981 and have served as a bedside nurse, educator, and mentor. I understand both the challenges of nursing and the journey it takes to build confidence.
🤝At One on One Tips, I believe progress—not perfection—is what leads to success. My goal is to help you become a safe, confident nurse who is prepared for both the NCLEX and the realities of patient care.
Meet Rhoda
Hi, I'm Rhoda Sommer, RN, MSN Ed, and I've been a nurse since 1981.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving as a bedside nurse, nurse educator, clinical instructor, and mentor. I've cared for patients, taught future nurses, and guided new graduates as they found their confidence in one of the most rewarding—and challenging—professions there is.
One thing I've learned is that every nurse's journey is different.
Some students need help connecting the dots. Others need someone to believe in them after an unsuccessful NCLEX attempt. New nurses often need a safe place to ask questions, build confidence, and develop the clinical judgment that only comes with guidance and experience.
That's why I created One on One Tips.
My approach is simple: personalized support, honest feedback, and practical strategies that help you think like a nurse—not just memorize information.
If I believe you're ready for the NCLEX, I'll tell you. If I think you need more preparation, I'll tell you that too. My commitment is to your long-term success, not just your next exam.
Whether you're preparing for the NCLEX or navigating your first year as a nurse, my goal is to help you build confidence, strengthen your clinical judgment, and become the safe, compassionate nurse you worked so hard to become.
I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
